The boost of energy without the stimulation of sugar surge.
What constitute a good energy bar? A good energy bar will provide protein, mineral, fiber, and good fat with the least amount ingredient that induces sugar surge. Try the ingredients that contain natural sweetness to replace sugar. Here is a recipe to combine nuts, small amount of dry fruit, mashed whole oats, coconut flakes, and slightly salted nut butter(almond butter is preferable than peanut butter). This will provide good flavors and nutrition to boost your energy whenever you need a lift. Be reminded that you don't need a huge bar, so the portion should be a snack size. It's not supposed to be a meal! Of course, when you don't have time to have you meal, this will be a good substitute.

Nuts, sunflower seeds, small amount of dry fruit, mashed whole oats (good fiber), coconut flakes, and slightly salted nut butter make up a good energy bar without loading you down with those sugar surging ingredients.
